Child Safety & Anti-Trafficking Policy
Last updated: September 2026
MISYAR has zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA), human trafficking and modern slavery. This policy explains our standards, our controls and how we act on reports.
Adults only
- MISYAR is strictly an 18+ service. Accounts must state a date of birth showing the member is 18 or over.
- We may request proof of age at any time and will suspend an account pending that proof where we have reasonable concern.
- Any account we believe belongs to a minor is removed and its content deleted.
Zero tolerance for CSEA
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualised depictions of minors, grooming, solicitation of a minor, and any attempt to arrange contact with a child for sexual purposes are absolutely prohibited.
- Confirmed CSEA content or conduct results in immediate permanent removal, preservation of the relevant records, and referral to law enforcement and, where applicable, specialist reporting bodies such as the UK Internet Watch Foundation or NCMEC.
- We do not require a court order to report suspected child abuse material to the authorities.
Human trafficking and modern slavery
- Recruiting, transporting, harbouring, advertising or receiving any person for the purpose of sexual or labour exploitation is prohibited, as is arranging or facilitating forced, coerced or sham marriage.
- Coercion of any member into marriage, sexual activity, travel or financial dependence is treated as exploitation and reported to the competent authorities.
- We comply with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, UAE Federal Law on Combating Human Trafficking, and Saudi anti-trafficking regulations, and cooperate fully with authorities in each jurisdiction.
How to report
- Report any concern in the app or by email to support@misyar.app with "Child safety" or "Trafficking" in the subject line. Reports are prioritised and reviewed by a trained reviewer.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
- Reports may be made anonymously and we take steps to protect the reporter's identity.
