Your safety matters more than any match. Here is how to protect yourself and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Protect your privacy
- You control your photos and visibility settings, and you can change them at any time.
- Do not share your home address, workplace, ID documents, or bank details with anyone on the app.
- Nobody from MISYAR will ever ask you for your password or for payment outside the app store.
Meeting in person
- Take your time and speak first through the app.
- Involve your family or your wali if that is your preference — many members do.
- Meet in a public place, tell someone you trust where you are going, and arrange your own transport.
Warning signs
- Anyone asking for money, gifts, or investment help.
- Anyone pushing to move to another app straight away, refusing a voice or video call, or pressuring you for photos.
- Anyone whose story keeps changing, or who avoids talking about marriage intentions.
Block and report
- You can block anyone from their profile or your chat. They can no longer see you or contact you.
- Reports go to our safety team, are treated confidentially, and can lead to removal of the account.
- For urgent concerns write to support@misyar.app. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
